Hindu Raksha Samiti took out a padyatra (foot march) in the city on Saturday to protest against the violence against Hindus and other minorities in Bangladesh. The padyatra, which started from Ramlila Maidan, toured the entire city. People kept raising slogans holding the tricolour and saffron flags in their hands. A memorandum addressed to the President was handed over to the SDM and security was demanded. The padyatra, which was led by District President Narsingh Tripathi, started from Ramlila Maidan and reached Ramlila Maidan via Sheetla Mandir Chauraha, Purana Cinema Hall, Mahila Thana, Civil Line and Badhauli Chauraha. Before this, a meeting was held at Ramlila Maidan Robertsganj. The chief guest was storyteller Pt. Dilip Krishna Bhardwaj. Everyone demanded the Indian government to protect the minorities in Bangladesh by increasing diplomatic, political and pressure on the United Nations. On this occasion, Rajiv Kumar, Vidya Shankar Pandey, Jaiprakash, Santosh Pandey, Raju DCPC, MLA Bhupesh Choubey, BJP District President Nandlal, former MLA Tirathraj, Ramesh Mishra, Municipal Council President Ruby Prasad, former District President Dharmveer Tiwari, Ajit Choubey, Ashok Mishra, Ramlagan, Dr. Gopal Singh, Shitala Singh, Krishnamurthy Gupta, Ajit Rawat, Pushpa Singh, Anoop Tiwari etc. were present.
